East South Wales IOIS Integrated Offender Intervention Service

2012-04-18 New Service

CRI have been commissioned by the South Wales Drug Interventions Regional Manager, Welsh Government and Wales Probation Trust to deliver the new IOIS Integrated Offender Intervention Service

The service which went live on the 1st April 2012 incorporates DIP [Drug Intervention Programme], DRR [Drug Rehabilitation Requirements], ATR [Alcohol Treatment Requirement] and AAR [Alcohol Activity Requirement] as one new service, IOIS , in Cardiff, Vale, Rhonda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil.

IOIS will provide:

  • Opportunity to access group work, Peer Mentoring support groups and mutual aid groups
  • Medically assisted recovery service for opiate dependency
  • Referral to community services
  • Harm Reduction
  • Assessment
  • Care and recovery planning
  • Exit Planning

I am excited to continue working with CRI in the delivery of this new integrated treatment service and anticipated quality outcomes and the new focus towards poly drug and alcohol use.
