Lewisham FIP works with families who are considered to have the most complex / challenging needs within the borough.
This will include families where there are safeguarding concerns, gang related issues, and families who are risk of eviction due to anti social behaviour and or crime.
The FIP works in collaboration with partner agencies to provide a holistic approach to all the families we work with.
Lewisham FIP will work with families present with the following needs:
- families that are facing enforcement action and/or are at risk of losing their home
- teenage pregnancy and conception where there are safeguarding concerns
- families presenting with abuse or neglect, i.e. domestic violence, home alone cases
- youth offending, substance misuse, and or mental health concerns
- families who require intensive support for one or more children with disabilities and or special needs
- families that have serious issues with school attendance and achievement.
Lewisham FIP will motivate families and provide opportunities for them to change. The project provides intensive, structured support to ensure families get assistance from both mainstream and specialist services. We take a whole family approach to ensure that solutions are found for everyone to achieve positive and stable outcomes.
