The Medway Drug Interventions Programme (DIP) works with drug using offenders (over 18s) to help them reduce their substance use and in turn to reduce offending. We aim to help offenders break free from harmful patterns of behaviour by delivering innovative services that have a measurable impact on health and community safety.
The Medway DIP Team works with offenders at every stage of the criminal justice system – on arrest, whilst on probation (except whilst on a DRR) or on release from prison. We offer our clients a holistic assessment, referral into treatment where appropriate and ongoing case management support. We are able to refer clients into other community services for wrap around support, such as housing, finance, healthcare, training and employment. Medway DIP works closely with all local treatment services and partner agencies to offer our clients a care plan that is tailored to their individual needs.
CARAT teams and other DIP Teams are able to refer to the Medway DIP Team using our alert forms. RA appointments can also be booked for Medway clients. Other criminal justice agencies are welcome to refer to us using the Medway DIP Referral form.
