What is DAIS?
DAIS (Drugs, Alcohol, Intervention and Support) is an open access service for all Richmond residents who may be experiencing difficulties with any drugs or alcohol. We also welcome and support friends and family of drug and alcohol users who may be affected by their substance misuse. This service is voluntary and confidential.
What can you expect from DAIS?
- you can speak with an experienced drugs/ alcohol worker to offer information, advice and support. You will be allocated a key worker who will support you through the duration of your engagement here
- you can expect a non-judgemental and confidential service
- you can expect regular meetings with your key worker to discuss your progress and have individual support
- you can attend a variety of support groups
- we offer alternative therapies i.e. auricular acupuncture
We can link you with a vast range of other services to suit your needs:
- healthcare - help with doctor, dentist registration, substitute prescribing, HIV/ Hep testing and vaccinations
- employment, training, education
- structured day programmes
- housing support
- counselling
- benefits advice
- referrals for residential rehabs
- referrals to a wide variety of other organisations to suit your needs
